Silos for cereal storage: Safe and efficient storage

Ravaro Costruzioni Meccaniche, a leading company in the sector of design and construction of systems for agriculture and the food industry, has developed four different models of silos for grain storage, which have ideal characteristics for optimal storage of legume cereals.

Mechanizations

Flat bottom silosfor cereal storage

Used for the containment of granulated cereals, it is a silo in corrugated galvanized sheet metal with a circular base which has a high corrosion resistance (galvanization 450 GR/M2) up to 31m in diameter.The body of the silo is made of sheet steel high strength galvanized, with a high limit of elasticity, with corrugation 104x12 mm type Z450.

The roofs are made of AZ185 sheet metal, which lasts at least twice as long as galvanized steel.

In the large silos the roofs are made with internal galvanized steel carpentry.The uprights are positioned outside the silos with a center distance of 930 mm, so as to give the silo better resistance to the vertical stress of the cereal.All bolts are entirely hot-dip galvanized and therefore highly resistant.

Conical bottom silosfor cereal storage

It is a silo in corrugated galvanized sheet metal with a circular base with a 45° or 60° hopper, ideal for green cereal storage. It has a conical bottom to contain agri-food products.

Rapid loading silosfor cereal storage

It is a silo in corrugated galvanized sheet metal with a circular base with a 45° or 60° hopper on carpentry structures, which is used for the loading of cereals on means of transport such as trucks and trains (unloading occurs by gravity).

The use of this type of silos speeds up the loading operation of vehicles, making the cereal always available without having to resort to the use of mechanical transport.

Silos with square or rectangular cellsfor cereal storage
